Google started its Journey in January 1996 as a research project started by Larry Page and Sergey Brin and both were PhD students at Stanford University in California. at that time most search engines ranked results by just counting how many times the search terms appeared on the page, the two theorized about a better system that analyzed the relationships between websites. This new theory was called pagerank where a website’s relevance was determined by the number of pages, and the importance of those pages, that linked back to the original site.

Early in 1999, while still graduate students, Brin and Page decided that the search engine they had developed was taking up too much of their time from academic pursuits. They went to Excite CEO George Bell and offered to sell it to him for $1 million. He rejected the offer.

In March 1999, the company moved its offices to Palo Alto, California, home to several other noted Silicon Valley technology startups. The next year, against Page and Brin’s initial opposition toward an advertising-funded search engine, Google began selling advertisements associated with search keywords. In order to maintain an uncluttered page design and increase speed, advertisements were solely text-based. Keywords were sold based on a combination of price bids and click-throughs, with bidding starting at five cents per click.

Since 2001, Google has acquired many companies, mainly focusing on small venture capital companies. In 2004, Google acquired Keyhole, Inc. The start-up company developed a product called Earth Viewer that gave a 3-D view of the Earth. Google renamed the service to Google Earth in 2005. Two years later, Google bought the online video site YouTube for $1.65 billion in stock. On April 13, 2007, Google reached an agreement to acquire DoubleClick for $3.1 billion, giving Google valuable relationships that DoubleClick had with Web publishers and advertising agencies. Later that same year, Google purchased GrandCentral for $50 million. The site would later be changed over to Google Voice. On August 5, 2009, Google bought out its first public company, purchasing video software maker On2 Technologies for $106.5 million. Google also acquired Aardvark, a social network search engine, for $50 million. In April 2010, Google announced it had acquired a hardware startup, Agnilux.

Recent surveys show that it will surpass twitter within a year if current trend continues. At this time you can join google plus only via invitation. So, if you want an invitation, leave your email address (gmail) on the comment section.

More about Google Plus

Sharing is a huge part of the web, a part that we think could be a lot simpler. That’s why we’ve been working on adding a few new things to Google: to make connecting with people on the web more like connecting with them in the real world. We hope you like what we’ve cooked up so far. And stay tuned, because there’s more to come.

Google Plus Circles

You share different things with different people. But sharing the right stuff with the right people shouldn’t be a hassle. Circles makes it easy to put your friends from Saturday night in one circle, your parents in another, and your boss in a circle by himself, just like real life.

Google Plus Sparks

Remember when your Grandpa used to cut articles out of the paper and send them to you? That was nice. That’s kind of what Sparks does: looks for videos and articles it thinks you’ll like, so when you’re free, there’s always something to watch, read, and share. Grandpa would approve.

Google Plus Hangouts

Bumping into friends while you’re out and about is one of the best parts of going out and about. With Hangouts, the unplanned meet-up comes to the web for the first time. Let buddies know you’re hanging out and see who drops by for a face-to-face-to-face chat. Until we perfect teleportation, it’s the next best thing.

Get your bottle rockets and Bunsen burners out. Tomorrow morning, Google will be making some exciting announcements about a worldwide, web-based science fair.

The tech giant is inviting students ages 13 through 18 from all over the world to compete — and the prizes won’t just be shiny blue ribbons, either. Google (Google) will be handing out scholarships and work opportunities to the most impressive entrants.

Youngsters will be able to submit their projects online, presumable through the Science Fair’s website, which has yet to launch with full details.

On January 11 at 9 a.m. EST, Google will host a live event on its brand new Science Fair YouTube Channel. More details about the fair will be announced then; we’re assuming the site will be fleshed out at that time, as well.

The global science competition is being hosted in partnership with CERN (the European Organization for Nuclear Research), LEGO, National Geographic and Scientific American. The goal is “to create a new kind of online science competition that is more global, open and inclusive than ever before.”

Teachers who want to receive classroom materials, including posters, stickers and bookmarks, as well as get registration information, can start signing up now.

This is one Google event we’ll be following with great interest; we can’t wait to see what cool entries will be coming in from young minds around the globe.

Check out Google’s adorable Rube Goldberg-inspired YouTube (YouTube) teaser for the Science Fair:

CRM software can be a terrific business tool to help zone into a clean picture of what it is their customers need and want. CRM software also helps companies to do trend research, market analysis, and to secure new business relationships. Learn more about CRM via our IT news portal.

If this sounds pretty impressive that’s because it is. You’ll get the most out of your CRM software if you take the time to learn it thoroughly. You can either go it alone using the documentation supplied or the software company likely offers CRM classes.

Before you start learning about the various CRM software packages available it’s a good idea to visit online sites that specialize in this area. There you will get the expertise you need. Online offers you great choices. Not all good so make sure you do your research. You’ll find packages ranging from low quality right through to the excellent packages.

You will also find prices that range dramatically from just about nothing to thousands of dollars. You’ll want to set your budget before you begin shopping so that you are not wasting any of your valuable time.

You will need to decide whether you are going to purchase standalone CRM software which resides on your computer and leaves you to do updates and troubleshooting, or network CRM software in which you pay a fee and they host the software on their servers. That means they take care of updates and training too.

First you need to make a list of what you want out of your CRM package. Then have a look at what each CRM software package and what they have to offer. Compare features and price. There are specifics that everyone needs including the ability to manage the accounts of your customers, sales records, marketing, products, and data mining, as well as web sites. These are the basics and you should never settle for less.

Besides online reviews you should also spend some time reading what business journals have to say. Why not spend some time reading the boards to see what other users have to say. It’s also a great place to ask questions. And when in doubt email or call the CRM company and ask them.

Does your company need CRM software? The answer is emphatically yes. There are few companies that can’t be improved with CRM software. That is unless your business does not involve customers.

The following are all reasons why you need CRM software solutions.

- If you want to stay ahead of the competition
- If you are interested in improving the quality of service to your customers
- If you want to streamline the way information flows within your company.
- If you want to see an increase in company profits.
- If you want to be able to analyze company data.
- If you want current marketing data at your fingertips.

So in the end, is CRM software what you need? I think you know the answer now. Learn more about Google CRM and CRM Software in general.

In case you are searching for more information about the niche of cheap PlayStation 3, then make sure to go to the link which is quoted right in this paragraph.

I think most of us love google because they are the number one company on the web and making a fortune. I know that I have used many google services over the years and I really love them. I really don’t know how many services they provide but here is a list of few that I know off and use. I hope you have used few of them as well.

Google Search (Google.com): This is nothing new. When we want to search something the first site that comes to our mind is Google. You know what this is and I really don’t want to waste more time on this one.

Google Maps (maps.google.com): A Google map is for local businesses and to view maps. You should definitely use Google maps to get driving directions.

Google Videos (video.google.com): This is the place where you can search and watch millions of videos and also participate in discussion.

Google Toolbar (toolbar.google.com): Google toolbar is available for Firefox, google chrome and internet Explorer only. Google toolbar has a load of features like translation and page rank checker only to name a few.

Google Labs (googlelabs.com): Google labs is one of the places where you can play around with prototypes of Google’s wild and crazy ideas and you also get a chance to provide feedback to Google engineers who are involved in the development.

Google Translator (translate.google.com): This is the web application that is used to translate between languages. You can find more than 20 languages to translate.

Google News (news.google.com): Google news is a place where you can get aggregated headlines of the world’s news sources.

Google Earth (earth.google.com): This is undoubtedly the best thing that Google has come up with. With the help of Google Earth you can see the whole world via an application. All images used in Google Earth are taken from satellite and they are so clear that you can even see person walking on the street. This is the must have application for all.

Google Local sites: Google also offers country specific search Engine which helps in searching sites from specific country only. Example Google UK (google.co.uk), Google Spain (google.es), Google New Zealand (google.co.nz), Google India (google.co.in) etc.

10. Google Desktop (desktop.google.com): The sidebar in Google Desktop includes a news widget that learns from the articles you read and a feed reader widget.

As I have said this is only a few that I can remember right now. There are so many others that is worth mentioning. Go ahead and check out Google more carefully and I am sure you will find something that will truly impress you.

Google Wave is an online tool for real-time communication and collaboration. A wave can be both a conversation and a document where people can discuss and work together using richly formatted text, photos, videos, maps, and more.

What is a wave?

A wave is equal parts conversation and document. People can communicate and work together with richly formatted text, photos, videos, maps, and more.

A wave is shared. Any participant can reply anywhere in the message, edit the content and add participants at any point in the process. Then playback lets anyone rewind the wave to see who said what and when.

A wave is live. With live transmission as you type, participants on a wave can have faster conversations, see edits and interact with extensions in real-time.

All right guys and girls, I have some Google wave invitation left to give out. If you want one, please leave a comment with your email address. Invitations are limited so hurry.

Google wave has come and gone. Google just announced that it will discontinue google wave in 2012. So, if you have anything there hurry up and take a backup.Google wave was nice to use. I will miss it.

I hope that this information will be useful for you.
1. Use “site” command to see all the images of a site. In Google images site (images.google.com) enter site: www.microsoft.com
2. If you want to search a quote/phrase simply type “quotes or phrase” with the quote symbol. This method is very useful if you want to limit your search result.
3. Try searching like this ~money and it will display synonyms of words in a search result like coin, cash and currency etc. To exclude any synonyms simply type ~money –cash -coin
4. If you want definition on something just type define: computer
5. If you want to search pages containing either one or other keywords use OR word. Example: type man or women this will return pages containing “man” as well as the pages that include “women” (not necessarily both) and those pages that include both words. Note that if you type man women result page will contain results for pages with both man and women.
6. To include any word in your search result type your keyword + word to include example: electricity + bulb
7. To exclude any word in your search result type your keyword – word to include example: electricity – bulb
