Removing program from startup

This helps in reducing boot time. If you have a slow PC than you should have noticed that even when desktop is shown after a boot it takes some time to really work properly. Removing startup program is a best solution for this. If there are so many icons next to clock it takes longer time to load and hence increase the boot time.

To do this

Click Start → Run → Type msconfig and than click startup tab. You will see a list of program Uncheck the applications which you don’t want in startup. Press Apply and then close. Restart your PC.

My Recommendation is that you should not remove anti virus program from startup. Except this you can remove all others. But be careful that removing some application from startup may affect software performance but you can easily put it back to startup by checking the application in msconfig.

(6) Using Intel Application Accelerator (IAA)

If your PC has Intel CPU, Pentium II, III, IIII, as well as the Celeron based processors and Xeon series of processors (AMD not compatible) than you might think about installing Intel Application Accelerator which is found free of charge at Intel site. But your system has to follow strict requirements for it to run without causing problems for detail please refer to Intel site.

Don’t feel lazy to do this because this is the best software that will increase you system performance very significantly. I request you to Google about Intel Application Accelerator success stories.

If you have an Intel board then you might want to check your board CD for IAA.
