I like this idea too. So the best thing that you can do is start a Google adsense. Google adsense is a best free money making scheme that you are ever likely to find in the web. It is easy, reliable and most importantly free for all. You don’t have to spend a Penny to start this make money scheme. All you need to have is a Web site and a basic HTML knowledge (which is not hard to learn).

Google Adsense works on Pay per click (PPC). Every time someone visits your site and clicks on the ads on your page you get money. The amount you get may vary from $0.1 to $1 or more. The average might be $0.20. This may not sound much at first but if your site have a good traffic than the amount that you get becomes significant. Let’s calculate the amount that you might get.

If total number of Visitor = 5000 per month and suppose 250 of them clicks on your ads (5% of total visitor) than lets suppose you get $0.25 on average

Than the amount you get = 0.25*250

=$62.5 per month
So, this much money will certainly cover your hosting cost and other maintaining cost. Remember this is just an approximation and you might get even more if you have a great traffic into your site. Tthe only way to drive traffic into your site is to give original content to your readers. Updating your site regularly will help you a lot in driving traffic.
