How to stop the blackout of screen on vista while installing programs

If you are Vista or Windows 7 users then you should have definitely noticed the blacking out of the screen while installing new programs for your permission. Although this is good for security but it gives a lot of headache while using your computer. This blacking out is to ask your permission to take action. This means that you are switching from normal user to elevated user with more power to change registry and other important system files. This blacking out is really annoying and you can disable this feature.     Windows-Vista

Here is how you can disable this feature:

  • Download Disable UAC Blackout program
  • Extract the archive
  • Double click on DisableUACBlackout.reg
  • If you want to re-enable this feature, simply double click on ReEnableUACBlackout.reg

Disabling User Account Control

User account control is a security system in vista. If you are confident with taking control of the security, you might want to disable User Account Control (UAC). To disable UAC, follow there steps,

  • Go to start menu and the select control panel
  • Select user accounts
  • Then select Turn User Account Control on or off
  • Finally uncheck the box next to “Use User Account Control (UAC)…..” and then press OK.
  • You will be asked to restart the computer to activate the changes made. Once you restart, you will no longer have to deal with UAC.
  • To reactivate this service, repeat above steps and recheck the box next to “Use User Account Control (UAC)….” And press OK.
